Hans Timmer
Hans
Lead Economist and Manager of the Global Trends Team of the Development Prospects Group. Before joining the Bank in May 2000, he was head of international economic analysis at the Central Planning Bureau (CPB) for ten years. He has had vast experience working with the European Commission, IPCC and the OECD, as well as with the Indian Planning Commission and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and has participated in international modeling groups such as LINK and GTAP. Mr. Timmer studied Econometrics at Erasmus University, Rotterdam and has been a researcher at the University of Lodz in Poland and at the Netherlands Economic Institute.

Andrew Burns
Andrew
Lead Economist with the Development Prospects Group. He is involved with the production, drafting and communication of the Global Economic Outlook, the World Bank's twice yearly world forecast published in Global Economic Prospects and Global Development Finance. Before joining the World Bank, Mr. Burns worked with the OECD where he was Head of Desk for the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and France. His principal responsibilities included supervising and writing the OECD's Economic Surveys for these countries. He also played a lead role in the OECD's Jobs Study, supervising the evaluation of labor market policies in each of the organization's 30 member countries. Mr. Burns holds degrees from the University of Manitoba and McGill University in Canada.

Gauresh Rajadhyaksha
Gauresh
Research Analyst with the Development Prospects Group. He is involved with economic modeling of the WB global macro model and in the development of information systems of the Global Trends team. He is the project coordinator for the iSimulate @ WorldBank initiative. Gauresh holds a B.E. in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Mumbai in India and a M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

David Horowitz
David
Software Engineer with the Development Prospects Group. He manages technical direction of iSimulate @ World Bank and is also the project's lead software developer. David holds a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Economics, both from the University of Maryland at College Park.
